MM, we would like to take the time to say a few things and hope that you will read along and really think about what is being said.
We would like to take the time to Thanks those that came and adopted some of our rats. And we would also like to say, it is in these times of financial hardship that all must stick together. It is our belief that if Pres. Bush would bring our boys home from fighting this never ending battle against terrorism, quit sending the U.S.'s funds to other countries and become more aware and worried over the problems our nation is experiencing this would be a better place. Our homeless population has soured, the US now holds the record for the highest homeless rates. Many are unable to obtain help that is so desparitly needed, our country has let us the US Citizens down. The question is, why should we be proud to be an american when our country cares more about others than thier own people? We have learned a very important lesson also, those who we thought were friends, were friends in deed, until we needed a little help. Once called upon, after offering assistance, we were blown off. This has happened with many for us, and I am sure for many others just like us. So, pick and choose your friends as best as you can, and hope you chose the right ones. People are not as they always seem, you could be hurt and dissapointed. As I write this, we are packing our belongings and putting them into storage, in hopes that we will recover from this soon. The shelters are full, there is no help, so we have been forced to move into the woods until we are able to join "life" again, if at all. I did not know until recently that once you are in this position, most just get lost out there. No where to go, no one to help-nothing. And when you think things cant get worse, people treat you terribly because you're "homeless", so that makes you feel hopeless and useless with no way out. And no will to keep fighting. I would like to say Thanks to those of you who have read this rambling of mine, and I hope that you keep it in your heart, we are just another family who our Government has let down, and that the same does not happen to you.
